Noel Mathias, Founder
Noel can seem like he drinks optimism from a tap, on most days. He found his home in Scotland 21 years ago. What was meant to be a four-month stay in Glasgow turned into a colourful, permanent adventure.
He has studied a great deal: Philosophy, Theology, Communications, but what drives him most is an insatiable curiosity about what makes people their better selves. He has worked with people from all walks of life, but has a particular affinity for those who refuse to be defined by their circumstances and create their own opportunities instead.
He spent twenty years in contemplative practice before founding WEvolution, a movement that generated over £26 million in social and economic value across Scotland, the UK and Holland.
Born in Mumbai. Based in Scotland. Father of three. Still dreaming of writing that book. He has the ideas, just not yet the pages.
Lynsey wells, c0-director
Having emigrated to Glasgow in 1998 from the Kingdom of Liverpool, Lynsey is an art educator with over twenty years of experience in the creative industry. Most recently she has been one of the Artists in Residence for Glasgow Life's pioneering Artists in Communities programme bringing creativity to life for people who may never have had the chance to make art or even seen much of it before.
She believes that collective creativity can breathe colour, light and joy into neighbourhoods, and she has seen time and again art's power to transform. Her practice is built on making the world a more colourful, creative and just place.
Lynsey loves visiting coffee shops around the globe, swimming in the coldest water she can find, and firmly prefers two wheels to four.
Eleanor Campbell, Co-Director
Eleanor has always been fascinated by what helps people and communities thrive. With a background in Psychology and a Master's in International Development from the London School of Economics, she has worked across the globe on clean water initiatives and community empowerment programmes.
Her travels have taken her to many corners of the world, but her heart still beats a little faster for the Horn of Africa. Take her out for Ethiopian food and you will have her smiling all evening.
Life these days is full to the brim with three children, coffee in hand, and a deep belief that real transformation starts in community.
Tim Wright, Associate
Once upon a time Tim Wright was a singer. He was also a halfway decent Aussie Rules player.
Then something happened and he became, by his own admission, deadly dull. He worked for McKinsey and a number of other highly respected organisations, then co-founded twintangibles, a management consultancy helping organisations create value through the crowd economy. He even wrote books about it.
These days he is recovering, a bit. He sits on the boards of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and National Records of Scotland. He makes guitars badly and is hoping to live happily ever after.
