Noel MATHIAS, FOUNDER & CO-DIRECTOR
Noel can seem like he drinks optimism from a tap – on most days! He found his home in Scotland 19 years ago. What was meant to be a four-month stay in Glasgow turned into a colourful, permanent adventure. He’s studied a bunch of stuff – Philosophy, Theology, Communications – but most importantly he’s insatiably curious about what makes people their better selves.
He has worked with people from all walks of life but he has a special affinity for those who refuse to be defined by their circumstances and strive to create their own opportunities. Noel’s childlike wonder and penchant for asking “silly” questions stems from his constant state of observation and learning. This perpetual quest for knowledge and understanding led him to found WEvolution and, now, Novel Solutions.
In his spare time, Noel dreams of writing a bestseller. He's brimming with ideas – he just hasn't gotten around to putting them on paper yet!

LYNSEY WELLS, CO-DIRECTOR
Having emigrated to Glasgow in 1998 from the Kingdom of Liverpool, Lynsey Wells is an art educator with over 20 years’ experience in the creative industry. Most recently she has been one of the Artist in Residences for Glasgow Life’s pioneering Artists in Communities programme, bringing creativity to life for people who may have not had the chance to make art or even seen much of it before.
Believing that collective creativity can breathe colour, light and joy into neighbourhoods, she has seen time and time again art’s power to transform and aims through her practice to make the world a more colourful, creative and just place.
Lynsey also loves visiting coffee shops around the globe, swimming in the coldest waters she can find and prefers 2 wheels to 4.

ELEANOR CAMPBELL, CO-DIRECTOR
Eleanor has always been fascinated by what helps people and communities thrive. With a background in Psychology and a Master’s in International Development from the London School of Economics, she’s worked across the globe on clean water initiatives and community empowerment programmes. Her travels have taken her to many corners of the world, but her heart still beats a little faster for the Horn of Africa — take her out for Ethiopian food and you’ll have her smiling all evening.
Life these days is full to the brim with three kids, coffee in hand, and a passion for seeing small groups create big change. Most recently, she led WEvolution’s Small Powerful Groups project, where she continues to champion the belief that real transformation starts in community.

TIM WRIGHT, ASSOCIATE
Once upon a time Tim Wright used to be a singer. He was also a half way decent Aussie Rules player.
Then something happened and he became deadly dull. He worked for McKinsey & Co and a number of other highly respected organisations. Then he co-founded twintangibles, a management consultancy that helps organisations create value through accessing the crowd economy. He even wrote books about it: “Crowdfunding: Come finanziarsi on line” and “Ideas to Reality” co-authored with John Reid and “CROWDASSET – Crowdfunding for Policy Makers”.
These days he is recovering...a bit. He is a Board member of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and National Records of Scotland. He makes guitars – badly.
He is hoping to live happily ever after.
